About
Matthew
Matthew is an integrative psychotherapist based in Surrey and London who works with individuals. As an integrative practitioner Matthew blends different schools of psychological theory that best effect change, supported by scientific evidence, and resonate with his ways of working.

These include elements of the humanistic, psychodynamic and third wave cognitive behavioural therapy approaches with a relational underpinning. Matthew is experienced in working with relational conflict, trauma, grief and addiction. He brings his experiences of mindfulness and meditation to his practice.

Matthew is the host of ‘The Journey Home podcast’: a conversational podcast with professionals and figures with lived experience of addiction and mental health as well as wider topics that resonate with the interviewee. The aim is to promote awareness of the aforementioned areas and serve as a pathway to therapeutic services. Check it out here: The Journey Home on Spotify.

Prior to working as a therapist, Matthew worked as a professional musician for over 15 years, during which time he toured and recorded extensively across the UK, Europe and USA and performed at some of the world’s most prestigious festivals.
