Family & Carers, Eating Disorder Support Group

Watching someone you love suffer with an eating disorder can be an isolating experience and often leave people feeling hopeless and confused. We want to offer a place where people can find identification and create a sense of community that offers support.

Facilitated by Becky, our specialist eating disorder therapist and systemic practitioner. This group will provide a safe, contained space where you can share your experiences and listen to the stories of others that are going through similar difficulties.

Who is this group for?

  • Family members, carers and anyone that is supporting someone in recovery from or suffering with either a diagnosed eating disorder or showing signs of one.
  • Please note this group is not a substitute for medical or nutritional advice.

Day: Every other Thursday, 17:30-19:00

How does it work?

Initial enquiry
Speak to an experienced team member for a telephone consultation so we can understand the nature of your situation. They can explain how we work and will pull together a proposal for how PBH can help.

Book & pay online
Sign-up and secure your spot by paying for your place online. We keep our groups and workshops small to ensure everyone who attends benefits. If you can’t sign-up online it means the event is full.

Attend your event
Attend the group or workshop on the indicated day. Groups in particular benefit regular attendance. If it doesn’t suit you or you’re not enjoying cancel at any time, no long-term commitment required although maximum benefit is achieved through regular attendance.

Define a path to greater wellness
You’ll meet the team working with you and chart a plan to help tackle the problems you are facing. The length of time you work with us will be driven by you and your needs – we will support you every step of the way.

Our specialists are committed to delivering the best care to each person who receives support with us, and pride themselves on placing service users at the heart of their treatment and rehabilitation journey.

Practitioners engage in continuous professional development in order to guarantee that their practice is guided by the latest research and adheres to robust National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines, and other relevant standards.

Do you accept medical insurance?

We do not accept medical insurance.  In some instances, clients are able to reclaim the cost of our services from theirinsurance companies but we do not deal with insurance companies directly. If additional information is required by a client in making an insurance claim an administration fee is payable.

Do you do therapy online?

Yes. We have a number of therapists who specialise in working with clients online. Get in touch and we can match you up with the most suitable member of the team.

Where are you based?

We operate from two offices, one in London and one in Guildford, Surrey. However, we provide support to clients across the world through case management, coaching and therapy. This may include remote or online support or it may mean our coaches travelling to clients in their home country.
